Flooded After Hard Rain

This is one of the thing that I don't like about the neighborhood where we are living now. After hard rain, the street will be flooded. The water will not come inside our house but the street itself will be cover by water and sometimes it can be very high so the car can't pass the street or enter the house.

I don't know why people don't take this problem seriously. They should try to find solution for this. If the rain will not stop for few hours, probably the water can come to some houses as well. Good that our house was built higher than the others. So at least we don't have to worry a lot about this. Only the access to go in and to go out from the house will be gone if there is flood.
