My son has been coughing for almost a month. I brought him to the doctor already two weeks ago but after taking medicine from that doctor, it did not really help. So I decided to bring him to another doctor to get second opinion and treatment for his cough.
After waiting half hour in the waiting room, we finally went inside the doctor's room. I told her that my son already has coughing since a month ago. Then she immediately said that my son probably has allergy of certain kind of foods. That's normally the case if the child has cough for almost a month. It can't be a normal flu if it happen for a month. She told my son that he should not drink or eat cold drink and food at all. Not now nor when he will get better later. And he can't eat chocolate as well nor drinking chocolate milk. No peanut because it can trigger the allergy again and etc, etc.
Poor kid. There are many things that he should not eat in order to stay away from the allergic reaction on his body. Since he was born, he already has allergic reaction of certain food that I ate when I still gave him breastfeeding. I thought that will get better as soon as he grow older. But it doesn't really change at all.

Allergic cough can be relatively harmless. But it can be harmful, resulting in sleep, sore throat interrupted, and in some cases difficulty breathing.
