Few years ago, we often used Video conference to communicate with the other family members in Asia. Most of the family are living in Asia while I spent the last few years in Europe with my small family. If I miss my mom, I sent her message through her mobile and asked her to use web conference so we could chat for sometimes.
In the beginning, my mom did not really understand how it work. But after explaining her few times, and gave her some lists what she need to do, she could finally enjoy the Web conference that we had online. Even my daughter at that time already learned how to use the camera for Web conference.
Before, we did not use notebook which has camera yet, but the quality of the pictures that we got when we did the conference were quite good.
Amazing, isn't it? I think when we will go back there, I will use this way again to communicate with my family. And since we always use cable connection for our internet connection, I don't think there will be a problem to do online conferences when it's needed. That will; be the cheapest and the easiest way to communicate with the family abroad.
